Citylife is a tech-driven real estate startup specialized in (re)building co-living apartments based on the needs of young people. We perform an end-to-end approach, where we purchase the real estate, refurbish, rent, and manage it. With this approach, we can assure a top-notch experience among our members. We create high-quality apartments that friends can share, while we provide them great service during their stay. Furthermore, co-living makes living in the very heart of the city affordable for students and young professionals.
Citylife delivers highly attentive and responsive service with a personal touch, yet digitizing and automating requests where most convenient. Our vision for Citylife is to become a loved brand for renting co-living apartments that acts as a recognizable quality stamp all over Europe. The Citylife homes are more than just a roof over your head. Renting a Citylife apartment makes you a member (not just a tenant). As a member you benefit from a beautiful and modern home for you and your friends, you become part of an active community and also gain access to various Citylife events.
In 2021, Citylife aims to purchase at least 40 apartments in 2021. Next, we’re working on the transition from buying and renting out single apartments to purchasing, refurbishing, and renting out co-living buildings. The first building of 300 m2+ is purchased at the end of 2020. The ambition for 2021 is to purchase at least two buildings of 500 m2+ and one building of 5,000 m2+. Most of our processes are stored in Salesforce. That’s why we are looking for an IT developer with preferably experience in Salesforce, who can help us grow and spread our unique approach.
Job description and responsibilities
We’re looking for a proactive ambitious and dedicated full-stack developer who’d like to be part of a fast-moving company. We need you to be analytical, proficient with programming languages, process focussed, and flexible. As said, we have invested in the implementation of Salesforce, because we strongly believe in the advantage of superior IT systems. Salesforce should increasingly free our team from routine jobs and let us focus on adding more value to our stakeholders. One of the IT projects for 2021 will be to launch a Partner Community and elaborate on our Community Portal within Salesforce. Furthermore, we’d like to start with using Artificial Intelligence to estimate prices (e.g. rent, refurbishment and purchase prices) and better target our audience. We’d also like to integrate more and more systems, such as the website and Salesforce. You’ll have the freedom to come up with new ideas and improvements to our processes and systems. Furthermore, you’re responsible for maintaining and adding extra features to our website.
This job will serve as a great learning experience, both in expanding your skill set as well as giving you a general awareness of how a growing startup functions. Moreover, you’ll get a leading role in the further development of our IT systems.
- Minimum two years of working experience
- Strong drive to learn, professional ambition, and detail focussed
- Positive attitude and friendly
- Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
- Programming experience is a must (Python or Java)
- Experience with creating API integrations is a must
- Experience with Salesforce APEX is an advantage
- Interested in real estate and co-living
- HBO or university-level education
