Anyone who relocates to the Netherlands for more than 4 months needs to register at the municipal authority. Most municipalities require you to register within the first 5 days of your arrival to the country or as soon as you have your rental contract with Citylife.

After you register you will receive your BSN number (Citizen service number). You will further use this number to open a bank account and apply for your health insurance.

Caution!: You must also deregister from your address as soon as you leave Citylife’s apartment. The next tenant will only be able to register at the apartment when you deregister. But don’t worry! You can deregister online through this link.
